Our next Zan-e-Emrooz is a renowned songstress. This February she was awarded the first degree certificate of music from the artists, writers and poets evaluation council in Iran. Aside from being an instructor of traditional Iranian song and a performer she also heads a music school in Tehran. Can you guess who she is? Zan-e-Emrooz meaning "The Contemporary Woman" is a new section on our website which will introduce influential women of different professional backgrounds.
