hey lsiloken. any tips on creating a curse which isolates an ex friend? they rendered me homeless and forced me to drop out of university.

Light a Red Candle within a Hood-Lamp of some sort (in my case, the Lanthorn,) and proceed to consecrate the working space and raise your power.

Create a Poppet, ideally incorporating a taglock from your target within it. As you craft it, name it aloud, again and again, identifying the poppet with your target as thoroughly as you are able. Thereafter, write out your target's full name and pin it to the poppet over the location of the heart, saying "By the writ of your true name, your essence is affixed!"

Next, fill an opaque vessel with War Water, Urine, Blackberry bramble, and a single Iron Nail.

Using a black cord, begin to tightly wrap and bind the poppet, until the entire body is enclosed in a dark cocoon, chanting an incantation thrice as you do so:

"I bind you in darkness—

Apart and alone—

I bind you in darkness (insert name!)

I bind you in starkness—

Your due is here sown—

I bind you in starkness (insert name!)

By apathy repaid in spite,

By fetters that I weave from will,

I seal you up (insert name!)

I charge you with a lonesome plight,

And snare you with my baleful skill,

To insulate you (inset name!)"

Finish the incantation and wrapping with a call of "Sīe!" and then drop the bound poppet into the vessel.

Close and seal the vessel with red wax from the candle, and then fumigate it with Licorice root as you call upon the power of a spirit closely associated with malefice.

Close out the rite, and thereafter, if at all possible, take the constructed Cantrip Flask to be buried somewhere upon the property of your target. If this can't be achieved, then bury it in the Eastern crook of a Crossroads, along with a Libation of Whiskey and Hot Chiles.

Captive Winter: Nedra

Growing up on the Isle of Stirk is simple for no one, especially not Nedra. Raised in a society of fierce and unyielding warriors, Nedra did her best to remain irrelevant and unnoticed by her peers. As the daughter of a washerwoman and a traveling merchant, it was easy enough. As the fated bride of the next chieftain, it became more difficult. When her pet hawk joins with that of the chieftain's heir, Nedra's people take it as a sign from the gods that she is destined to join with the chieftain. But first, she must become worthy by way of the Undertakings, a series of brutal trials and tasks meant to exterminate weakness and break the soft. When one of the trials nearly kills her, Nedra is smuggled off the island by her friends and merchant father. Now in a foreign country, she is determined to leave her past behind, even as she feels the searching gaze of her would-be-fiance. Setting her sights on the vast, unmapped northern territory, Nedra sets out to find herself a place in the cold, icy kingdom. The North is unyielding, but Nedra will not let herself be broken again.
