we're sorry to say that Needabeta will not come back online.

We hope it was of use for the eight years it was live, and we trust someone, somewhere will build their own project, with better tools and easier searchability for a more phone-based audience perhaps!

Anyone who might use the name Needabeta will not be us, and will not be using the Beta File information.

Okay Steddie fans….i need a beta for my new fic. I was going to just post it unbeta’d because I am feeling VERY antisocial these days 🙃 but I do want to hear opinions and suggestions of other humans outside my own brain lol so if you like Stranger things, or Steddie or both or neither idk lol if you just like being awesome and beta-ing a fic let me know! Please dm me! I’d love to share it with someone or even a couple people it’s “finished” for now so I’m not actively writing but I am open to edits! So yeah!

Hi! I'm Miu in row 782. A few days ago I sent an ask ( https://www.tumblr.com/needabeta/808996140705087488/hi-im-in-row-782-fandom-name-miu-id-like-to?source=share) requesting a modif in my contacts and fandoms section. However, the changes I requested have been made in the row above mine, ie in 781, instead of in 782. Can you please make the necessary edits in my own row 782 to reflect the changes correctly?

I wrote a fanfic for “The Adventures of Tintin,” the Franco-Belgian comic book series. I haven’t been invited to ao3 just yet but I’m looking for a beta reader, though I know this particular fandom is pretty obscure and that beta readers might be hard to find.

you can look through the File to see if anyone might be a good fit - whether they've listed French as their languages if it's relevant to you, or have Tintin mentioned in their submissions.

Many Beta Volunteers are also willing to beta fandom-blind - check out "any"a" "anything" or "open" in the relevant column.

hi! can u pls arrange the beta list in reverse chronological order so we can see the betas who are most active first?

Thanks for getting in touch! Unfortunately, because of the limitations of Google Sheets and the way the Beta Form writes to the Beta File, that isn't possible. We wish it was! We have tried. If you search by fandoms, for example, with a word search or filter, you can easily skip to the latest entries. We hope this helps!
