Poli-ticking Time Bomb

I work for an environmental nonprofit, and we have stop work orders. On the day of the federal funding freeze, construction crews were in the water removing a dam. We still don't know if we will get reimbursed for that project. Other projects are just indefinitely on hold. These are projects that we were granted funding for.

Our leadership team has been telling us to use different wording. We can't use wording that could be seen as "exclusionary." Which just means we can't highlight women, BIPOC, or LGBT people in any way. They changed Gulf of Mexico to "Gulf of America" online with the caveat that the parts of our organization that work outside of the US will continue using the correct name.

My neighbor is worried about potentially losing her job, as the GOP has proposed cutting all medicaid funding for telehealth services.

My dude works in industrial food. 80% of our garlic comes from China. So many of our ingredients, fruits, vegetables are not grown on US soil. His customers are freaking out about tariffs and trying to find ways to buy what they need now and buy cold storage somewhere just to have it.

I'm struggling to see how even the most loyal Trump supporters are seeing positives in the flurry of shit he is shoveling onto us.

Every day I am so mad. I send emails to reps, but I'm loosing track of what I've even sent emails about. When I work myself up to it, I make calls. There are too many things to try to fight. I know it's a numbers game, so I don't plan on stopping, but goddamn.

Fuck them. Fuck them for making our jobs harder and firing so many people. Fuck them for making trans lives harder. Fuck them for making living in America worse and for I don't even know what will happen in Gaza. I wish only bad things on our current regime and the billionaire fuckwads.

I don't know how to end this other than to say, I hope you are doing okay. I hope your community makes you feel welcome and safe. And if you are a Trump/Elon supporter absolutely fuck right off.

I started playing Century: Age of Ashes, and damn, I love it to bits. The dragons look cool and the battles are awesome. Lots of customisation, even tho the grind for currency for the stuff is...long.

Its also free to play!!

But...

BUT

This 5 HOUR PENALTY is from my game crashing constantly. Not me leaving games or rage quitting, but genuine crashes because the game isn't well optimised for Pre-Generation consoles. Which they have said.

Its a common thing on xbox especially. People have had 7 hour penalties because they crashed from the PvE game mode.

Like fuck!! Why are game devs so lazy?? So many games are launched with such horrible bugs and lack of maintenance now. Is it so fucking hard to just have something run even a little smooth???

If your game can't run on pre-gen consoles, don't fucking have them release on it. Or optimise a version for pre-gen players.

FINALLY PAID OFF MY MEDICAL BILLS

$1306 for being in the hospital and taking up people’s time $54 for blood test that confirmed I was intoxicated despite that being much clear $954 for the IV and taking up a bed and maybe the new mask they gave me? $996 for ambulance

I could of ended up dying in my hotel room if I wasn’t taken to the ER, and for a long time I *joked* that I wish I had because at least then I wouldn’t  have to deal with any of this anymore, so I’m just saying that if your people would rather be dead than deal with the healthcare that’s given, then maybe there’s a major flaw in the system.

I try to avoid conflict on Facebook because I don’t have the time to sit there while people call me an idiot because my political views may differ from their personal opinion. That works both ways, I don’t have time to call out every person I disagree with either. (Not saying you shouldn’t, if that’s your thing then feel free to do so, I don’t want to start a fight within my own personal rant.) I’ve had family members unfriend me for who the fuck knows why, didn’t really notice to be honest. But to have a friend you thought you could get along with, despite your differences, just block my shit and cut me out with no warning is really getting to me today. I don’t want it to, if they can’t handle the whopping TWO times I posted something about my personal views (even though I thought had filtered most of the haters out because ^^^see above) then what the fuck? I guess I’m just angry that I don’t call people out on their piles of bullshit, and ridiculous posts, but if I make a peep I’ve crossed the line. I’m not trying to create conflict, right now we all kind of need to find a way to get the fuck along. Calling me an idiot or even calling me whatever for not calling people out isn’t going to fix shit. It just makes me sad.

Idk i think ive got more than just eczema and my skin’s just extremely sensitive because i see other people with eczema recommending all these products not given the nea seal of approval (USA organization) and i just gotta weigh my options like “is it worth buying a whole new product if im not sure ill even be able to use it?” ive been burned by hypoallergenic products before (metaphorically and literally, in a way), but sometimes the stuff i stick with doesnt feel as effective anymore. I’d like to do an allergy panel but i dont hear much abt ones that test for things beyond food allergies

Ive been trying to eat better lately as well in hopes thatll help and i think it does, but also ive been getting this persistent itch on my neck that doesnt show but i feel it just below the skin, and im wondering is this eczema or something else or am i just going crazy

Stressing abt it also doesnt help because: stress ALSO can cause an eczema flare!!! Why is my bodys largest organ built like this

Also it peeves me that most eczema products are marketed like its only for kids and babies. Idk its a minor gripe but it feels like its not taken as seriously because “most kids grow out of it” well i didnt. Now what

Pissed as hell at Te Kura (NZ correspondence school) for losing my work, assuming I didn't upload for the month, and kicking me off the course. It's supposedly fixed now but they lost me my 6 month streak of not having any panic attacks. I'm fucking exhausted.
