currently rewatching one of favs from growing up. it was around the same time we got all the French cartoons on Jetix/Disney in the mid-late 2000s. {Like totally spies, martin mystery, code lyoko, w.i.t.c.h.}
it has some dated jokes {see misogyny and one of those 'if I was 30 years younger' said to a 15 yo}. But it has a great story with genuine growth from the characters. And the art style is SO cool and there's a fair amount of alternative style in all the characters. like eva would be so cool to cosplay.
the races are all so dramatic with varying highs and lows, so it's not just 'yay, we won' over and over. and the show unfolds to reveal the past and current story without being weirdly paced. and does a good job of the skill/power crawl with the main duo and support working out challenges throughout the grand race.
if you can look past the video quality {480p} and need a new show, the entirety of the show is on youtube <3

this doesn't fit anywhere else, also the creator is a descendant of the guy who made THE effiel tower. And there might be a spin-off or sequel in the works?
Mega City One. 800 million people living in the ruin of the old world and the mega structures of the new one. Only one thing fighting for order in the chaos...
Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness (holy shit why) is a SO game. It's fun in the same capacity all the others were, but there's nothing really new about it. The voice acting is better than TLH was, but not by much. A lot of weird inter character dialogue. It's a fun game, not a great one. Worth the cost, but not much more, imo. I could really use a Radiata Stories sequel instead of more of this treading the same ground as previous SO installments. It's been a hard meh ever since SO:TET, and FF has been on constant doubting-eyebrow status since 13. Okay, I really don't even need a RS sequel, just put RS and XII on the PS2 on PS4 list and I'll shut up.
Just watched 10 Cloverfield Lane Would have been amazing if my damn father didnt keep commenting every second in THE LAST 20 MINUTES!!!
THE MUSIC VIDEO BETTER HAVE A SEQUEL. HOW DARE THEY LEAVE SUCH A CLIFF HANGER!!!!
And fxxk....ECO looking handsome as always. I dead.
So I watched The Cobbler on Netflix...
You know that movie with Adam Sandler starring? Well.... SPOILER ALERT... At the end, Main's dad says "there's tons of tradesmen like us" so I got to thinking about how whoever wrote this piece of sheer genius needs to write a sequel about these other tradesmen and they should be in a covert spy network. Like imagine how much good they could do! Bonus points if the dry cleaners are the bad guys!
Sometimes I think about Final Fantasy and I just feel sad because not enough people have heard about it.....but then I remember the few people in this world that got to experience that small game, and I feel a bit happier. Maybe the developers of the game understand how I feel and think about making a sequel......I can only dream....keep doin what you're doin guys!
