Hold up…

So the Overseer said that he somehow was able to view the “script” (predetermined path) of his dimension and noticed that his son was fated to die. He says that he spent 20 years trying to find a way to save his son, but every time he made an attempt, a catastrophic event would occur somewhere in his universe as a result of his actions. According to him, attempting to defy the script is what causes an anomaly, and anomalies cause disruption and adverse effects in other areas of the universe.

So why is his reward to Solar’s bounty hunters a “copy” of the script??? Isn’t knowing the script exactly what caused an anomaly in his situation? Wouldn’t that just be trading one anomaly for another, since these bounty hunters most likely are going to dislike at least something in their dimensions’ scripts? He’s actively creating the opportunity for more anomalies in an attempt to get rid of another!

This arc is making my head spin.

college au where johnny thinks he’s jealous of simon in that he thinks he likes simon’s girlfriend and believes he should be with her instead. however. through attempts to break them up johnny realizes that it is not, in fact, the girlfriend he wants to be with

(and at some point the girlfriend starts noticing longing looks from simon and realizes she’ll somehow have to figure out a way to get these idiots together instead)

I’ve had a productive writing day, I’m excited to finish this chapter, yay. ☺️

Cassian couldn’t resist taking in the scent of her hair as she leaned against him, the fresh perfume of her shampoo mingling in with the fragrant flowers surrounding them, “No, Nesta, people are people, no matter what title they hold.”

He could feel her hands curl into the material of his casual leathers, and there was no doubt her nails would leave imprints in the expensive material. Cassian placed his hand over hers, rubbing small circles into the soft skin of her hand, the motion relaxing the tense muscles, allowing him to intertwine their fingers, “And there are just some desires that are universal, and you are no different. Do not feel ashamed of how you feel when those choices are taken from you.”

Cassian's chest tightened as they finally locked eyes through a veil of thick lashes, the shock of the dispirited look in her eyes almost made him stumble, “As true as those words maybe,” she said, squeezing his hand to find her ground. He didn’t miss the flicker from his lips back to his eyes as she spoke. Those expressive eyes that were such a stark contrast to the carefully constructed mask she presented. They always gave her away, and he did not think even she realized it. “My ability to fulfill those desires is an impossible feat.”
