#Blog अफीम अस्सी के दशक में रेलवे के वीपीयू में कच्चे अफीम का लदान हुआ करता था। रतलाम में अफीम का बड़ी लाइन में यानांतरण हुआ करता था। यहां से वीपीयू स्पेशल गाड़ी गाजीपुर सिटी के लिये जाया करती थी।

मैं 1985 के उत्तरार्ध में जब अपनी पहली पोस्टिंग पर रतलाम रेल मण्डल में आया तो नीमच से गाजीपुर सिटी के लिये अफीम का लदान हुआ करता था। उस समय मेरी भूगोल के बारे में जानकारी सीमित थी। मुझे यह भी नहीं मालुम था कि नीमच से गाजीपुर में अफीम किस लिये जाती है। सोचता था कि शायद उस इलाके में लोग अफीम का सेवन ज्यादा करते हैं। नीमच में अफीम कहां से आती है, वह भी सही सही नहीं मालुम था। उस समय की सोचूं तो पाता…
