4. Playful/silly headcanon

They definitely tease each other A LOT. I mean everyone who knows Negan and their dynamic knows that this must happen. Negan will probably tease him in the worst moments where Rick tries to stay serious, but Rick will love his humor endlessly. To get revenge Rick will be super clingy with him or cheezy and kiss his neck or jump him just to annoy him.

5. Night in headcanon

Negan would cook (or they order), Rick would choose a movie and snacks, but in the end they won’t watch the screen but end in and on top of each other. They will watch the stars on the balcony and tell each other secrets, probably share a cigar and talk about darkest emotions they usually hide. Maybe there’s also some music involved and dancing, cause Rick loves to do that whenever he hears a nice song. If Negan is cooking, Rick would probably approach him with dance moves and distract him from it just to be close to him without saying it.

8. Sleeping headcanon

Rick is clingy when he sleeps. He either will lay on Negans chest to caress his small hairs there or trace his fingers along his tattoos, or he will hold onto his hands when Negan takes him in his arms from behind. He craves physical contact and even if he wouldn’t admit that or tries to act like the tough one who doesn’t want to cuddle, he would wait for Negan to fall asleep and then cuddle against him. He needs that a lot. Of course he would take Negan as the little spoon as well, but it’s more likely that Rick will be in his arms I guess.

EVERY LOCATION. Really, even if Rick sometimes seems like a shy boy, he loves having sex anywhere. It depends on the mood for him and Negan is someone who triggers his need a lot. So wherever it happens, it happens. But there are probably some favorite locations for him, like on the big balcony of Negans home or in his elevator and of course classical the bed. And probably on the piano and in front of a fire place 👀 and on events 😂 did I mention everywhere? Oh and positions: He loves to be taken from behind from Negan, even if he never imagined that for himself cause of his inner control freak. But with Negan it’s different, he is allowed to control him and take over and somehow that turns Rick on. But besides that he’s very classic cause he wants to look into his lovers eyes and feel his breath on his skin, so missionary or riding him would be probably a thing too.

I don’t think they use a lot of toys, they love it too much to spoil the other with their own body. Besides that he doesn’t mind staying in juices or messes, he kinda likes the aftermath of sex cause it reminds him the next morning what happened and it’s the only time he forgets about his control addiction to have everything tidy immediately. Of course he would love a hot shower or bath after, but sometimes he’s too tired for that and would prefer to cuddle. Depends on the restaurant but he loves pasta. In mafia verse he has a special love for Italian food and also travels a lot there. So a good carbonara is like heaven for him.

Nope 🤣 Rick is a horrible cook. The only thing he’s pretty good in is preparing a nice breakfast as long as it consists of just getting the right stuff at the right time and have it in the fridge (like jam, toast etc he’s just very good in organizing things or ordering breakfast 😅) 🤣 but even scrambled eggs are difficult to make for him and in assassin verse he’s not really having anything at home unless you tell him to cause he’s rarely there anyways. In mafia verse he has his staff to cook for him 🤷🏼‍♀️ BUT he makes very good sandwiches. That’s not really cooking of course but that’s why he puts even more love in them to make up for his lack of skills and yes: you taste the love!

This couldn’t be. This just couldn’t be. For a short moment he still hoped he made a mistake, that this couldn’t be the man he cried about for months as the only real love he ever experienced. The feeling in his chest was a mixture from burning rage that rolled his fingers into fists which urged to beat the pretty face he missed and nearly forgot about, and the endless craving to touch him, hold him, smell him, eat him up and not spare just an inch so he could never leave him again. God he hated this man and he had loved him once so much that his stunning smile was still able to bring a weakness to his knees. Damn him.

How could he even dare to come here? Did he search for him to degrade him? To make fun of what he had become after a stupid heartbreak that probably meant nothing to the player Negan always was? Oh well, if he really came here on purpose and that was highly unlikely, he would find out soon enough that not only Ricks skin had become more dark but his soul did as well. Not to mention his heart, that didn’t feel so many emotions at once in years. In fact Rick couldn’t even remember when he felt anything the last time. But hey, this was just a short glimpse of the past, nothing serious anymore right?

Still it did feel serious regarding the clenching feeling in his chest which threatened to choke him as Negan repeated his compliment and called him sunshine. How the hell did he dare to speak like that to him? Using his nickname as if it was just something you could randomly drop. Sunshine. Sunshine my ass. Apparently he was still the same arrogant asshole he was back then and hell did he miss that.

Luckily Grace disappeared to the back while Marcy looked from Negan to Rick and back to the taller man. He knew she was reading atmospheres well and that’s why she maybe sent him a reassuring nod that asked if he was alright and as he slowly replied in the same way, she followed her niece, probably to give them some space.

After a deep breath that pushed away the sadness that wanted to come up, Rick cleared his throat and loosened their intense glare, trying to fake some lack of interest. “Well, thanks. But you better call me by my name.” His eyes wandered down to the little card where he noticed the word “Auntie” and he remembered how Negan had told him about this one aunt he really liked back in New Orleans. Well, point for him. Maybe he really didn’t come on purpose to test how much power he still had over the once lost boy.

“No. I’m not working here. Just helped Marcy, she’s kinda my neighbor.” Nervously his hands fiddled with his pants, his flat palms running over the jeans to hide the sweat that was coming up. “And you? Seems you didn’t change a lot. Still the same a-… charming character.” A sarcastic smile spread on his lips, proud that he swallowed the insult at the right time before a short glance back to the hazels made him step back from the counter to bring more space between them, his hands now closing around the cupboard behind him to have a upright stand.

“Why are you here?” His suspicions still weren’t gone by now, even if it wasn’t completely Negans fault that Rick still felt haunted like the shadow he worked as. What if he got hired by someone to get informations? The only ones that caught a glimpse of him or ever found out his name were dead, but Rick was aware of the risk that it could happen anytime again, even if he kept sure of having no weaknesses they could use against him. And now here it was: the only weakness his life ever provided. Live in flesh and bone and still so incredible handsome that it was a shame. Damn he hated this. And he still never wanted it to end.

While crossing his legs he looked down to his feet, just anything that wouldn’t swallow him into the spiral he once got lost in. No never again.

“Your aunt, huh? Is that really the only reason why you accidentally run into me? Excuse me if that’s very hard to believe, Negan.” On purpose he swallowed every little nickname he made up for him in the past even if the urge was there after Negan used his so bluntly. Sunshine. Yeah. Maybe it wasn’t a coincidence he chose the alias “Shadow”. Umbra. Just far far away from anything that could remind him of who he once was. Who he once loved. “You living here now? Or just passing through?”

But when they are getting closer, Rick will be the one texting him daily about how much he wants to see him and misses him (maybe even too annoying for negan so he won’t answer when he realizes how deep Rick is into him?).

Everything. Even if they prefer to call (especially video call), but when they are in meetings they write all kinda stuff. Probably random stuff at the beginning from negans side, but then it turns into flirting and definitely sexting when they want to challenge each other when they can’t be together in this moment. And if they stopped talking cause they fought, Rick will probably text him at night drunk, writing him poems and how much he is his world and that he needs him.

I think Rick doesn’t believe in aliens but he would probably think that it’s not possible that our planet is the only one in the whole universe with a living species

Not really, he’s too old fashioned for that but he would probably be still confused if he meets someone being very convinced they exist and doubt his belief because he’s open minded.

🎃- does my muse celebrate holidays? Why or why not?

Yes. Rick is an old fashioned traditional man deep inside even if he hides it well in assassin verse for example. But he loves holidays like Christmas or Halloween. He’s not persistent about his birthday but when it comes to others peoples birthdays he always takes care of celebrating it and giving them presents. His favorite celebration is Christmas even if he’s not that typical family person in mafia or assassin verse, but since his wish for an own family is constant in any verse, he dreams of celebrating it with children and his partner and enjoys the mood of Christmas with all the lights and presents and cookies and eggnog or hot chocolate with marshmallows. He has a sweet tooth which makes him love all the food and he can be very romantic that’s why he loves to take walks in the snow with all the cute lights around him especially when he’s with someone. In mafia verse he would probably make a big Christmas celebration with all the girls living at his place cause he wants to give them a feeling of home while in assassin verse he will probably claim to hate Christmas and stay alone on the Christmas days (even if Marcy invites him all the time) but he would secretly enjoy the walks through the silent streets on these days and would celebrate it big when he has a partner. Halloween he enjoys mostly when he has kids, cause he likes dressing up with them.

Rick is amazing in adjusting to new situations but still he hates change cause he is a control freak.

He’s not really caring about himself so he wouldn’t stay in bed when he’s sick or injured unless someone forces him to. But he’s pretty good managing pain or patching himself up, so pain is not a big problem for him. If someone else is sick or injured he would freak out about it and care a lot about them, it’s just himself he doesn’t really care about and always claims everything is fine. He would need someone to look for him.

That his friends and family always stay healthy and happy, that he will not die alone and that he will find his soulmate/one true love.

“Well mister Redder, you can’t cut all their eyes out now, can you?” Rick replied, the glass of whisky lifting back to his lips to hide his smirk as he took another sip. Somehow it was amusing to see Negan in that jealous mood since it was usually him being stared at. But this time Rick had invited him to his mansion and for the first time ever he was the focus of attention around the girls he kept save in here. On official events Negan was more famous, more elegant in his fine suits while Rick only appeared as the regular sheriff in his uniform, probably scaring off most of the guests who were already in trouble with the law somehow. In here as the leader of Black Hands Rick himself was in his suit, his hands covered in black leather while his protégées barely had any clothes on. For him it didn’t matter, he was used to this view and their desperate attempts to get into his pants never were successful even before they met, but that wasn’t something he would mention towards the man who he grew fond of just to feel once as someone he was scared to lose as well.

While Rick worried every day about the way men and women stared at his man, Negan always seemed confident and in control, not once insecure about who Rick belonged to. But this time he wanted to play with this, challenge the calmness he tried to keep up to feed his own pride. Somehow it even felt flattering to notice the anger in Negans face, the way he sometimes frowned when he thought Rick wouldn’t see it and finally Rick gained back some control he thought he never had before.

“Forget about them. You’re here now, so I wanna spend some time with you. Follow me.” With a gesture of his head he stepped away from the bar of the common rooms to lead his guest towards the private wing of his mansion where the girls wouldn’t be allowed. After typing in his security code he opened the door to his own living quarters and placed the glass on the couch table to free his hands which now grabbed Negans shirt to pull him close. “And now tell me again how fucking jealous you are. I wanna hear it, loud and clear cause I admit it’s damn sexy coming from your pretty and usual foul mouth.”
