ugghhh. i don't know if i want the how they met story or the post-spell domestic bliss more (because, i mean, it's brute and fyre, they're HOMEMAKERS, most things end up in domestic bliss with them) i just. god. they're not gonna be out of each others arms for MONTHS and i just have this image in my head of brute reading aloud folktales and childhood stories while fyre is curled around him and i. god. everything this ship touches turns to beautiful golden heart-shattering fluff to such a degree
they really really are homemakers, it’s sort of incredible. they get a little house on the outskirts of the city, built of wood and stone, with a large enough garden they can set up a vegetable plot. fyre insists they plant flowers. brute tries his hand at beekeeping and... well, it's not the most successful venture in the world, but it's fun, and fyre is endlessly fascinated by the tiny flying insects (and extraordinarily indignant about how much getting stung hurts when you don't have dragon hide). fyre starts up unusual hordes of various things like books and pressed petals.
gosh tho brute reading to fyre, and fyre may look human but they're still a dragon on the inside and they're so warm that it's like having a heated blanket wrapped around him from the fire in their stomach. brute ends up sweating and kicking off the blankets but he wouldn't change it for the world.
