Overall, I feel a kind of disconnect from other cosplayers in a way that I never have before. I've been doing a lot of things on my own lately, and while I'm happy with that and it's been a great experience, I miss the sense of community that used to exist with the cosplay scene. Unfortunately, a lot of people take all of the cosplay lifestyle and turn it to something competitive and negative, but if we keep existing together as a positive force, eventually those negative people will weed (no pun intended) themselves out in the long run. Don't let anyone dull your sparkle! I really want to come back into cosplay in a big way this next year and do more group costumes with friends! If anyone wants to collaborate, I'm always all ears.
