Man, just yesterday I was wondering why Voltaire was enlisted to write the article on "Fornication" in Diderot and D'Alembert's Encyclopédie. Like out of all the Philosophes around, why Voltaire? And just today I found this in a letter to D'Alembert..
(TR: "I ask if, in treating the French article under the meaning of people, we should not also speak of the other meanings of this word.
