Okay imagine this, Okita is trying to sneak a cat into the headcounter at night, Sano discoveres him, but instead of telling Hijikata he helps Okita sneaking the cat into his room, and Hijikata just watching them from afar without saying anything. This is not a writing request or anything, this scenario has just been playing around in my head and I needed too get it out.
