🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?
“Bingo. Compton’s British.”
There was a pause [before Fred spoke]. “...Uh, sorry to hear that?”
For a much longer passage I find funny:
[Fred] left the room for a moment, and Boyd immediately turned to the others.
“Fred’s definitely been abducted by aliens.”
“He--” Edgar started, then shook his head. “Boyd, he’s fine."
🎉 What leads you to consider a fic a success?
Getting either fanart or a story based on it is an instant "Holy frick this fic has DONE IT ALL" for me. On the other hand, probably just getting some nice, detailed comments? Like, I like having comments that feel like they're actually reading it and there to have a conversation with me. Those are my favorites.
🤩 Who is your favorite character to write?
Bob Zanotto is incredibly fun and easy to write for me-- His dry humor comes naturally at this point, and the sheer emotion hidden under the surface is so easy to bring up with any stress. However, I also love writing Otto (Banter banter technobabble nerd moment) and I have a soft spot for Fred (The most anxious fellow alive) and Helmut (incredibly fun to write the synesthesia as I do)
So. Lots of folks. But I think I'd have to go with Bob Zanotto, just because... well, call me odd, but he's actually the most relatable character for me rn.
(If I'm not allowed to just say Psychonauts characters, then I'll also include Doug Rattmann from Portal.)
