i’ve just gotta share my nekorenge/prettykitty headcanons,,,,

nekozawa always refers to renge as his princess, it’s his favorite nickname to call her. (along with “angel”, “moya zvezda”, “moy lebed'”, and “moy luk”)

when they first started dating renge didn’t know any russian, she soon learned it because she found that umehito was a lot more confident when speaking it. (in their married life, they speak to each other in russian when they have a sassy comment about someone, they love shit talking together <3)

umehito was jealous of kyoya at first, but he was more disappointed in himself. he knew what renge liked in guys and he knew how well he fit that criteria, but he was too nervous to talk to her so instead of being able to treat her right, he had to watch her fall in love with someone he knew would never love her back.

at first renge always had to initiate conversation, she didn’t have a problem with that since she wasn’t scared of him, and eventually they started talking about manga they both liked! they bonded over just that for a bit, then got a lot more comfortable and started talking outside of school/the host club and learned even more about each other!

umehito is a gentleman. yes, he is shy. yes, renge makes him nervous. but nonetheless he has always been a gentleman to her.

he wrote an entire letter for her, made her read it aloud, then got in front of her on one knee with a ring and asked her if he may be her boyfriend. he was too scared to mess up any of the words, that’s why he wrote the letter, but renge found it so cute that the letter is stuck to her vanity :]

RENGE TOPS

umehito hates touch, unless it’s renge. he constantly holds her hand, snuggles up to her, gives her piggy back rides/shoulder rides, and kisses her head. when they’re out in a crowded public space, he will pout if they aren’t holding hands.

renge notices how his emotions change his actions almost instantly. since he wears his cloak a lot she can’t rely on facial expressions, so she always makes sure that she’s listening to his voice and watching his body language.

both of them are high key stalkers. umehito watched renge for months from his club room and she never found out, sometimes he’d take pictures of her but then feel bad and delete most of them. renge was always more focused on kyoya before they started dating, but afterwards she investigated his entire bloodline and found out about 3 cousins he didn’t know existed.

tea party dates. sometimes renge begs umehito to wear a big puffy dress with her, sometimes he does, just to make his wife happy.

they both spoil each other. renge is more crafty with her gifts (homemade treats, a matching suit for a dress he bought her, stuffed animals, etc.), while umehito constantly buys her new jewelry, cute clothes he thinks she’ll look nice in, random oddities that remind him of her (at one point, he accidentally started a mini shrine for her in his room because of all the stuff he had piled up for her. he turned it into a purposeful shrine for her but gets embarrassed about it, so he hides it whenever she comes over)
