I think I like the idea of older brother and older sister than mom and dad. Because at least then they're more equal, but looked up to. Mom and dad is too authoritative, and the kids are all supposed to be in it together.
Yeah, for Bellamy I am MUCH more comfortable with him being an older brother. Because he IS older than all of them, he's not a delinquent, he's the only older sibling in how many years? He really does have some of those comforting and protective instincts and I love him for that.
But like, what about Clarke screams big sister? Maybe to Octavia, but... honestly she's right at the level of the rest of them, she's just in charge. You know? I just think we all can find it so easy to fall back on the standard definition of what a female lead character means - Clarke Griffin cares a lot about people, she wants to save them, she will do what she can to heal them, but she will also inflict pain, death and bring about war to protect them. And yeah, maybe that's how my big sister (or I) would act, but it would be all tied up in the relationship we have from so many years of living with our sisters.
Clarke doesn't HAVE that, especially now that Wells is gone. She's emotionally very alone. She's more than overacheiver classmate that you respect and listen to but don't really hang out with later, necessarily, except as your group project goes on and you know she's doing a lot of the work but she's all right and so you grab drinks and see if she can chill. Except with a lot more blood.

I draw the line at crawling through 70+ chapters looking for ships/fandoms I like like they’re a needle in a haystack, especially since chapter titles on both AO3 and FF.net are a thing that exist.

Lots of chapters don’t bother me at all. What bugs me (and it’s not something I think you even do?) is MULTI-FANDOM MULTI-SHIP drabble collections with literally no way to tell what ships/fandoms are in what chapter/drabble.
Hmm. That's a good thought, though. For Little Worlds, it was obviously just the one fandom, but multishippy as hell. I tried to make it clear in the chapter summaries what the ship was, but it might be helpful to put it in the chapter title for the next one.
Which I guess means that's it and I've decided to close up Little Worlds and start a new collection.

HAHAHA. THERE WERE SO MANY WAYS THIS PROMPT COULD HAVE GONE, SO MANY. It could have been more romantic or it could have been ACTIONY but in the end I wanted it a little bit domestic and a little bit about reclaiming humanity and trust.
