Thanks so much to ikkoros over on Flight Rising! Nelrathyr looks great and this is such a fun style.
Nelrathyr Eru'dath, MRP complete
Her current in-game description is a modified version of my rogue's, but I decided that in the few weeks since conceptualizing Nelrathyr that she gets to have her very own. I haven't written one of these in a VERY LONG TIME, so pardon my rustiness.
A relic of a bygone era, Nelrathyr wields tenacity in one hand and strength in the other; brandished together do they give shape to the soldier. Her world is comprised of steel and bruises, bloodied teeth and war-torn glory - and it is there that she thrives.
While not possessed of a propensity for barbarism or heedless violence, her grip upon the hilt of any blade is far from inexperienced. She favors several, finding versatility in the reach of a longsword or the savage intensity of a greataxe, either of which may preside at her waist or along her back. The armor casing her sturdy frame further attests to her profession, its surface riddled with notches born of victories wide and narrow. Unpolished, heavy, and only vaguely kept clean of earthly stains, she carries it assuredly as though its weight and that of the world are but passing trifles.
In matters removed of the battlefront in which she excels, so too does Nelrathyr feel at ease in circumstances considerably more casual. Equipped with a smile befitting a woman of simple pleasures, loosed from her mouth as easily as any stalwart command, her nature defaults to permissive and easygoing. Taken with notions of spontaneity and rugged living, she sports a clean yet not overly meticulous appearance. A flaxen fishtail braid loosely fetters from her nape in various stages of disarray, echoed in plain vestments frequently littered with flour or other miscellany.
Her pace is set with confidence, one that only passes into arrogance within the bounds of jest - such a thing is well-stocked in her arsenal. With a presence neither overbearing nor terribly meek, Nelrathyr strikes a comfortable balance between the strength expected of a warrior and the mirthful ambiance of a rapscallion.
