One last batch of background settei focused on a single episode, with storytime screencap post tonight. There are about 7 backgrounds left in this set I bought, but they are all random episodes. So I’ll finish that off next week after I research the scenes they were in.
So these 4 backgrounds all came from Stream Ep. 19 - The Explosion That Brings Happiness. In this episode, random thug Domon is gifted Asteroid Napalmman, who right away is defeated by Rockman. His PET gets run over by a truck, and Napalm is nearly deleted without operator assistance. But he is able to escape, while Domon flees the scene.
He hid himself to repair himself.
Napalmman eventually makes his way to the fireworks factory, where he lands in Nenji’s PET. Nenji, of course, lost his original Navi, Nenjiro (son of Nenji), as seen in a dramatic flashback showing the Navi sacrificing itself to save the humans from a firework accident. Nenjiroooooooooooooo~!!!!
The first settei shows the exterior of the fireworks factory, while the second shows the interior where Nenji and his coworkers assemble giant bombs of colorful explosives.
So, Nenji gets back to his apartment and sees Napalmman in his PET. Not one to let another Navi lose it’s life, Nenji runs out to buy a bunch of recovery and repair chips to save Napalmman. The third settei shows the interior of Nenji’s place, although basically all we see in the episode is the room with the table where his PET sits. But if you wanted to know what his bathroom and kitchen were like, they are there!
After being healed, Napalm begins to bond with his new partner, despite not wanting to be called Nenjiro. But that evil Domon has plans to do bad stuff at the fireworks festival, and Napalm is still part of that plan.
The fireworks festival is taking place at Bay Area Seaside Park, which is the final settei. It got a nice sunset pan, which I stitched together.
I also liked this pan which scrolled across a sea of stars, and I think an attempt at Orion right above Nenji.
Domon uses the asteroid chip, which corrupts Napalm and brings him into the real world. But Nenji won’t let Netto hurt Nenjiro any more.
DON’T TALK OR SHOOT AT ME OR MY DIGITAL, REAL LIVE STICK CANNON NAVI SON EVER AGAIN:
That show of faith is powerful enough to get Napalm to snap out of it, and he goes to stop Domon’s evil plan of shooting fireworks at people by sacrificing himself just like Nenjiro did in the past.
There he goes, in all his purple and yellow glory...
NOT AGAIN NENJIRO NUMBER 2?!!!
But of course, he’s strong enough to survive, because Manabe ejects his asteroid chip in time, and becomes Nenji’s new Nenjiro forever and ever. And they happily Cross Fused ever after.
