Questions for Reptilblr:

I’m looking to buy a ball python in the near-ish future.  I already have a 36x18x36″ X-Tall Exo-Terra terrarium (example here), and my questions are:

Is this a generally suitable enclosure for a fully-grown ball python? I plan to buy a juvenile (from a breeder) and would house it in a traditional 10-gallon glass terrarium until such time that it outgrows it.

If this terrarium is suitable, what type of lighting would be recommended given the tank’s tall height and dimensions?

What type of substate (and substrate depth) is generally recommended for ball pythons, both juvenile and adult?

Are ball pythons prone to climbing / would a python utilize the arboreal space of the Exo-Terra?

Any other references or care sheets/tips are appreciated! I’m just in the early stages of research right now, and the snake itself is pretty far off; I want to make sure I have everything right long before I get the animal itself.  Any and all recommendations are appreciated and will be looked into.
