Neopets circa 2005: Hannah is a skilled adventurer who has very personal reasons for navigating the Pirate Caves but also just loves loot. Later, she ends up helping Kanrik, a member of the thieves guild, partially because she sympathizes with him but also for the hell of it. They never become love interests despite the fact that they have many things in common. She later gets betrayed and cursed by him, but quickly follows him to Terror Mountain in attempt to stop him. She befriends a child named Armin but is never expected to act as his mother. Kanrik changes and becomes a better person due to Hannah’s influence but she is never expected to forgive him or carry his emotional baggage. She plays an integral role in saving the Bori despite the fact that she is slowly dying. Hannah’s story event passes the Bechdel Test. The fact that she is a woman is deemed unremarkable compared to her actual accomplishments.
