Kal Bhairav: Still standing tall and brave in Kathmandu Durbar Square, Kal Bhairav is one of the biggest stone sculptures built in the 17th Century. Many people light devas infront of the giant statue. It is believed that it is impossible to lie infront of this deity. Bhairavas are protective deities. Kumbheshwor Temple: Still standing tall and strong. Supposedly built in 1392, this temple of Mahadev is located in the northern side of Patan along side the famous Banglamukhi Temple. A huge mela is organized every year during Janai Purnima as the water in the two ponds in the temple platform is said to have come from Gosaikunda. The recent earthquake of April 25, 2015 resulted in the loss of many lives, properties and cultural heritage. The media coverages of the earthquake have portrayed that Nepal has lost all of its cultural heritage including the three Durbar Squares of Kathmandu Valley. While many of the temples and buildings have been destroyed, not all of them are lost. Thus this project #notallgone which aims document heritage still intact.
