Going swimming for the first time since transitioning! This feels like some kind of milestone so I thought I should share. I am kinda nervous but excited. @tellmeayarn will be with me so I'm not too nervous.

Made my first terrarium! Tried to keep it low cost as I have a bad habit of going all in on new hobbies before I'm sure that I'll like them. Hence the very unnatural color of the gravel 😅 (it's old aquarium gravel from my last attempt at keeping pets)

I know it's not much, but since the closed off section of PA route 61 in Centralia, PA (aka Graffiti Highway) is now buried under dirt or whatever, I figured I should share this crunchy old video of it I took back in like 2010 on my trip to Centralia.

I'll never forget that trip. How quiet it was, the small occasional plumes of vapor coming up from parts of the ground. We were waved down by an old guy selling souvenirs out of the back of his pickup truck. He talked to us about living here, gave me a wooden nickel from events the fire hall used to host - I'll have to see if I still have it somewhere so I can add a picture to this post - eventually he talked my mom & I into buying a huge lump of coal that had "Centralia Pennsylvania" spelled (might have actually been misspelled iirc) out in colorful metallic stickers (themselves covered by clear tape to help them stay on)

We both knew it was probably not "genuine Centralia coal" like he promised - all of that was currently burning under our feet - but we bought it all the same. We told ourselves we bought it cause he probably needed the money more than us, not because we had been so charmed that we couldn't help buying a literal 10lb chunk of flammable rock.

My dad got rid of the coal almost immediately after realizing I had forgotten it when I moved out. Can't say I blame him.

Hi just in case it hasn't been clear before I believe in trans solidarity which means that I not only support other trans femmes but also trans masc people and I think it's bad when we turn on each other.

I felt very cute yesterday (a rarity these days) so I asked @tellmeayarn to take a pic of me before we went out, and I guess they made me laugh. Or maybe this was snapped when I was doing that "pretending to laugh for a photo" bit from Letterkenny.
