Being friends with Fletch, Riley and Ari. It's like... Watching my first meteor shower all over again, curled up in the back of my grandmother's car, wrapped in blankets beside her as we traced the tails with our fingers, it's that feeling of awe, of watching something that I will remember for the rest of my life, but also the warmth of the blanket, the weight of my grandmother's hand on mine. It's something indescribable and wonderful, all at once.

Change my name, inform them of the name change, they send me screencaps of my new name in their contacts/send me audio files of them saying my name and using the correct pronouns for when misgendering gets bad.

Today is a certain friends birthday. One Rooley, an amazing woman who always has a smile and a fucking dadjoke to cheer anyone up.

I wanna tell you some things about Riley. From my experience here.

Riley is very, very feeling. She feels a lot. if I’m hurting, so’s she. He’s like the mother I never really had, despite being 3 years younger than me. She always knows what to say, what to suggest. If I get frustrated, she doesn’t return it in kind, she talks me down,helps me identify the problem and helps me begin to fix it.

Though, sometimes she can be lost. Sometimes she doesn't know what to say other than ‘I’m sorry’. And that’s alright, not everyone has an answer to every problem. 

Riley helps me see the future I want, e share silly little hopes and wonderful little dreams, we tell each other about our pasts, I've bared my soul to Riley on more than one occasion and she has made me laugh out loud more times than what I can count.

Generally, I love Riley a lot. There’s so many things I could say about her, but I just don’t have the words.

Kids, if you have an extra two seconds, go wish the amazing thereforebucket a happy 18th birthday.
