I honestly do think "When You Sleep" is Loveless' "Smells Like Teen Spirit," but I like that we can disagree about nearly everything music-related and still be friends. :)
I guess I'm not seeing it? I'm just looking at it, I guess, from sheer amount of exposure. "Teen Spirit" blew up like Beatlemania, and the impression I get is that "Soon" was the album's big hit. I think it was the only song from the album on John Peel's list for 1991, and Andrew Weatherall did a clubby remix of it-- I dunno, that's just me though I guess?
It's a great song though. I mean ughhhh that whole album
