How's it going, Nerdies?

Sorry about not having a post last week. I was supposed to, but simply forgot. I hope you all enjoyed your past two weeks! Are you guys doing anything fun this weekend? Personally, I'm going to Chicago and then I get to see the band fun. on Sunday!

Anyway, enough rambling...on to the matches!

Last (the previous two) week's match was between two of the best blue guys we know, Sulley and Stitch! Sulley received two votes, while Stitch received only one vote, so the title of Nerdthings champion for this week goes to Mr. James P. Sullivan! Congrats, man!

This week's match is between two great games that I know my group of friends are big fans of. In one you race against your opponents in tiny go-karts that do not seem like they should be able to go as fast as they do. That's right folks, it's Mario Kart! The contender against Mario Kart this week is another great game for a group of friends that have slight anger issues when it comes to not getting enough stars. In case you couldn't tell, it's Mario Party! Two great Mario games, fun for all ages and any number of players, but which one will take home the title of Nerdthings Champion this week? You decide!

Hey guys!

Hey guys, how's it going? I know this is a couple days late, but what can you do?

There's a couple things I must get done with this post, so let's get started!

First things first, I must explain why I was so lazy and didn't put up a new nerdthings poll for, what was it, a month?

Well, for those who don't know, I am a new-ish college student and, let's face it, college is a somewhat big thing. It takes up most of my life and what little time I don't spend in class or doing homework I, admittedly, usually use to goof off on the internet. Sometimes I get things done, but most often I'm just a lazy butt and doing things that are less important. Take right now for example. I should be working on my English homework. What am I doing instead? Creating a post for a blog I have been neglecting far too much. See how much I love you guys? So, yeah, mostly because I'm just being a lazy butt, and partially because I am still getting used to this whole college thing.

As for the second portion of this post, I'm sure you're all expecting a new poll, right? Well, that would be the case, except I have decided to make an executive decision and extend last week's poll by another week. We only got one vote and, honestly, that's just a bit disappointing. Especially for the match you guys were given! Now, I'm not going to reiterate what that was, so if you need reminding, or you want to vote (which you really should) ya'll should just head on over to this post and let us know what your vote is. If, for some reason, you can't vote from that page, shoot us an asking letting us know and we'll figure out some way to fix it.

Hello, my lovely Nerdies!

I do apologize for the lateness. I've been without laptop since Friday evening and I'm actually working off of somebody else's right now. But that's not important! The important thing is last week's match!

It was a thrilling battle between two of John Green's most beloved books, but it seems that The Fault In Our Stars beat out Looking for Alaska, 2 to 1! Congratulations TFIOS! Enjoy your week as the Nerdthings champion!

This week's Nerdthings match up is a battle of the villains! Specifically, different versions of one specific villain. For those of you who enjoy a good, orphan-turned-superhero flick, I'm sure you've all enjoyed a Batman movie here and there. As you all are certainly aware of, there are several different movies, and many of Batman's villains have appeared in several of them, played by different people depending on which movies your talking about.

Well, today we're talking about one of Batman's most famous villains, The Joker! Now, if it was just the Joker against himself it wouldn't be very fun would it? I thought so. The real question isn't who is the Joker against, but more of a 'Which Joker do you prefer?' That's right folks, today's Nerdthings match up is Jack Nicholson's Joker (Batman, 1989) versus Heath Ledger's Joker (The Dark Knight, 2008)! I would say they're both pretty well-known, and if you haven't heard of one of them, now's a great time to familiarize yourself with the movie they come from!

Hello, Nerdies!!!

How are you all? Doing well, I hope! Did you all watch the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics? I did and I thought it looked awesome!

Anyway, I'm sure you're all much more curious about the results of last week's match! Drum roll please....

That's right, folks! We've got a tie! So I suppose that leaves the tie-breaker vote up to...me! And while I absolutely love the new series, I have to go with the one that started it all, Avatar: The Last Airbender! Congrats!

Continuing the TV theme, this week's match is Parks & Recreation vs. Community. One features a hard-working, political-savvy, former Parks & Recreation department worker, along with her co-workers and friends. The other features a group of seven members-of-a-study-group turned friends who all go to Greendale Community College and have to deal with a costumed dead, an insane Spanish Teacher turned Security Guard and many other crazy situations.

Sorry I'm so late with this. Some things happened that caused me to be unable to post it sooner, but it's here now! So on with the show!

Congratulations to our newest Nerdthings victor, Regular Show! It was a very close race, but Regular Show came out on top! Now, onto our new match up!

For those who have never watched her videos, Laci Green hosts a vlog on youtube entitled Sex+. She talks about things having to do with sex in a very blunt and informative manner. She's talked about things from girls losing their virginities to anal sex to girls' *private* area to body image. It's all very informative and she discusses these topics in a way that people enjoy watching her videos. Recently, however, she's gotten some hate from people because of some comments she made in her videos that she, admittedly, didn't totally think through. She is currently on hiatus because of this hate. I mean, this isn't just run of the mill anon hate. This person not only told her to kill herself, but sent her a picture of her house to show that they know where she lives.

I will admit that, here at Nerdthings, we are both sympathetic to her situation and hope she's doing alright. We are, however, quite curious as to your opinions on this topic. So let us know, does Laci Green deserve the hate she's getting or do you wish that people would just leave her alone and let her get back to making videos?
