whenever I play X-2 I always end up overlevelled in chapter 1
like okay I'm basically at the start of this game but my party is level 21 and I have every Black Mage skill mastered...
m-flo's newest album is such total garbage.
I kinda like the first song (Spark) but after that it's like they just gave up and settled to pad out what clearly should have been just a Spark single with trash and more trash. I realise that Taku is still on his whole EDM kick, and that's adorable, but his dance music is usually better than this. The whole album feels completely phoned in and lifeless. It's less like a party record and more like an extended funeral march.

Square One and Neven were also pretty terrible but at least those two had more than one song each that I would voluntarily listen to. Neven even had a few places (Journey X and Das Dance) where classic m-flo shined through, on top of actually tolerable EDM. (YEAH!, Butterfly)
Ugh, the current m-flo era makes me so sad because they used to be good. The trilogy of Astromantic, Beat Space Nice, and Cosmicolor is still one of my favourite sets of albums, tbh. They're not perfect, but still rock solid and varied. (I still love Planet Shining and Expo Expo, but the Loves era wins out for me.)
I'm not gonna bother with the EDM-FLO remix album, not even for the Nakata remix of The Love Bug. (and lbr Nakata's also been falling off recently, if not quite so heavily. I'm still recovering from the mess that was LEVEL3...)
