Nergis Hatun aesthetic
Nergis Hatun, a Circassian concubine of Şehzade Bayezid, was brought to Kütahya shortly after the prince’s appointment as sancakbey. Remembered within the harem for her quiet disposition and careful distance from political rivalries, Nergis became one of the few women Bayezid consistently trusted during the growing conflict between himself and Şehzade Selim. Though she never held influence comparable to the prince’s favoured consorts, servants of the Kütahya palace often spoke of Bayezid seeking her company during periods of unrest and uncertainty. Following the prince’s flight to Persia, little was recorded of Nergis Hatun beyond rumours that she refused to return permanently to the imperial court after his death.
