Taehyung smiles, then—a full smile, the one that Seokjin got to see that day at the range. He bumps their shoulders together gently, his smile softening so much that it almost fades from his face. “I'm not okay. I feel like I'm... unraveling at the seams.”
“If you need to stop—”
Taehyung shakes his head almost violently. “We have to catch them, Jin-hyung. I can't quit.”
“You can if it's destroying you,” Seokjin replies, his voice low and fierce, and Taehyung's expression shifts into something he cannot read—but it warms Seokjin, nonetheless, spreads across his chest and curls around his ribcage even as Taehyung’s gaze, sharp and intense, pins him.
“It's not,” he promises. “It can't. Not so long as I have you.”
