   She doesn’t know the details, but Aqua had said, once upon a time, she was a princess of Nohr. To witness a family who swore it would never tear itself apart and welcome her back doing just that must have brought back horrifying memories. Araceli offers a hand, unsure if her cousin would want the physical contact even if it was something as small as having her hand taken... But the offer is there, and she won’t be offended if it’s declined.

- Vampire: Tag someone of whom you've been a longtime fan.I’m a shy dork, so I have a lot of people I’ve watched from afar and been fans of, but been too afraid to approach. I think at the top of my list right now are probably @vallablooded, @wildcardkinshi, @armsthriift, and @nerochoros and I’m just limiting it to those first four that come to mind right now so...sorry I’m a terrified nerd guys ^^”

-Griffin: Tag someone whose friendship for you is priceless.I mean...the only real reason I didn’t mention @ofpyrrhics is because we’re dating and so that kind of goes above friendship status, but it still holds true regardless of what happens. But I can’t possibly go without mentioning @theburgermaster and @snowthefirst, because I’ve made really close friendships with them too, even if Bee is a high-anxiety dork sometimes X3. I love them both a whole lot :D

-Minotaur: Tag someone who you see as a leader in some way.I know Rachel’s not the only one who had the idea for it and helped put together the summer scramble event (and upcoming fall scramble), and I think everyone should take note of @armsthriift and @fellbranded as they both did a lot in helping organize everything and bringing it all together too, but I feel like @invisibleimpossibilities was really on top of things with the previous scramble event, and communicated with everyone the most, trying to make sure things ran as smoothly as was possible. I will say, though, that it’s good there are four mods now because I think the last event proved to be just a little more than three could handle all things considered X3

“You’re not,” Aqua said. It was all but too obvious. Leo was angry and suspicious– even of her? She didn’t think he would be. The Nohrian royal family seemed generally to trust Aqua, even if they didn’t know how to bond with her. “And, honestly, some of my most important duties lately have been stabilizing the interpersonal relationships of the royal families. So you have my full attention, Corrin won’t mind.”

“Perhaps you should start concerning yourself with your own well being or that of Corrin’s rather than checking up on the rest of us. We do not require a counselor.” Leo scoffed at the idea of laying out any weakness in front of a woman he could hardly remember from his past. If he remembered her at all. He wasn’t even one to discuss such emotional turmoil with his own sisters. Did Aqua think she could somehow push those barriers away and get him to open up?

“If not Corrin, than no doubt Xander requires your assistance. Go listen to him drone on rather than press me for information that you won’t be getting.”

   Queen Aqua. Cecil never thought he would hear the words- honestly, he still thought it was too early. How long ago had they just finished this damn battle, this whole war that had eaten at Nohr and Hoshido for years? And here they were, talking about Valla’s restoration. He understood it was important to reclaim the kingdom from its destruction, but he had stood there and watched as Xander and Ryoma basically dropped the entirety of Valla upon Aqua’s shoulders, and he saw her have no objections- that she rose up.

   They may know the weight of a kingdom upon their shoulders, but they do not realize how the burden of the resurrection of a dead kingdom felt.

   It was later, of course, that he went seeking for Aqua. What compelled him to do so? Maybe it was the idea that he himself also carried the task of bringing a nation back from the ashes. Maybe he just liked the princess-turned-queen’s company, and wanted to make sure she was okay.

   Either way, he stepped into the throne room, having tracked Aqua down to it. There was no better place to start, really, than at the sight of the fall of Valla’s king. “Aqua?” he called out to her, showing himself fully. His pack bounced slightly, and he felt the broken weapons within shift. Heirlooms to his own lost kingdom. “May I speak with you?”

—  Family was an awkward topic for the mercenary as well, but he still found himself spouting out about it anyway as it came up. He could catch her being slightly wistful, and he hesitated but proceeded anyhow.
