“Guess we have to team up,” [Name] told Ty as she held up her phone for him to the message on it though she knew that his own Nerve app probably held the same dare for him: one that required two people to complete it.

Looking at her, Ty gave her a small nod as he gave her an okay. “You better not cause me to lose.” 

[Name] scoffed at him before walking past him, making sure to hit him with her shoulder. Turning to look at him, she smirked. “Trust me. I’m down for anything.”

Imagine supporting Vee on Nerve by being a watcher

You knew how much Vee wanted to go to Cal Arts. It was her dream and she always talked to you about how much the college was her dream school. But with her mother wanting her to stay close to home, there was no way that she would help her daughter pay the money needed to attend the school.

So when Vee told you about the idea of her playing Nerve to earn the money needed for the college, you were nervous. Nerve was an easy way to earn money but it was also dangerous. You had seen some of the crazy dates people had done to advance through the game: kiss a cobra, do a handstand on a forty story building, to name a few. But when seeing the hope in Vee’s eyes when she asked you, you already knew what your answer was going to be.

‘Good luck, Vee.’ You typed as you watched her do her latest dare: trying on a very expensive dress. ‘I know you could do it!’

Imagine joining Nerve

After coming home from school, you went into your room and pulled out your laptop. You’ve been hearing gossip in your school about an easy way to earn some extra money so you decided to check the app’s website in order to see if it was true.

Typing up ‘playnerve.com’ into the internet browser, you were met with a loading screen. You watched as an eye-shaped figure was being loaded as you waited for it to get to 100%. Once it did, you clicked on the first video you saw on the screen.

You watched as the person’s dare was shown on the screen, 'meow at a stranger’ before it showed a man walking up to a girl on the street and asking for her name. But before she even had the chance to reply, he meowed at her. Laughing at the awkwardness, you watched as the video ended and the screen turned black.

“Welcome to Nerve, a game like truth or dare, minus the truth. Watchers pay to watch. Players play to win cash and glory. Are you a watcher or a player?” You watched as the website gave you the two options.

“I can do this,” you said to yourself. “It’s an easy way to earn money. What’s there to lose?” So with that, you reached out to your laptop’s screen and tapped on the player button.

Imagine Ian reading you his favorite books

[Name] was laying down on Ian’s bed, while he was sitting on a chair near his desk, using their phone. Both [Name] and Ian had decided to just stay indoors at Ian’s house. Putting down their phone, having been bored of using it, and let out a sigh. Trying to find something else to do, they looked around the room before their eyes landed on Ian.

Ian was at his desk reading To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf. As [Name] stared at Ian, they noticed how frequently they had seen him read that book. “Ian,” [Name] called out to him.

Looking up from his book, Ian stopped reading and waited for [Name] to continue their thought.

“Why are you always reading that book? I just noticed that I’ve always seen you reading that book.”

“It’s my favorite book. I just find reading about the Ramsays so interesting. I just love reading it over and over again.”

“Can you read it to me? I want to see why you like it so much.”

Smiling at [Name], Ian stood up from his place at the desk and moved to lay down on the bed with them. Getting comfortable on the bed, he pulled [Name] closer before he opened to the book to its first chapter and started reading.

Imagine Vee gathering courage to ask you out on a date

“Come on Vee, I know that you could ask [Name] out. You’ve been crushing on them since like the fifth grade. Just ask them out on a date.” Sydney told Vee as they both sat in a booth at their favorite diner.

They had both come to the diner to eat something after school when Sydney spotted [Name], Vee’s crush, sitting two booths away from them.

“I just can’t ask them out,” Vee whispered to Sydney as she tried to hide her face behind the diner’s menu. “[Name] is just so amazing and I’m just simple Vee. What if they say no and they never want to talk to me ever again.”

Sydney gave Vee a hard star. “Vee, you’re overacting. Just ask [Name] out, Vee. I know that’s what you want to do.”

Vee took a deep breath before standing up from her seat. “You’re right. I can ask [Name] out. Here I go.” Vee walked out of the booth and toward [Name]. ‘I can do this. You can do this Vee.’
