The Truth Behind Superhero Copycat's Super Cop-Out!

It’s strange. Copycat of Team Honey is well-known for using her opponents’ abilities against them. She helped take down Terror Bird by taking control of his own constructs and forcing them to fight him. She protected an entire train car of people from Bazooka Blitz by manipulating his own explosion and firing it back at him. Yet where was the clever twisting of Snow Queen’s ice powers during last night’s fight?
Copycat was undeniably present; you can see her at several moments during the fight. However, the only ice powers used throughout the fight come from the Snow Queen, directed at Team Honey. Copycat instead chooses to use her teammate Blazez’s flame manipulation abilities. One might argue that this is a simple case of fire melting ice, and therefore being the most advantageous of the available powers to use, and they may well be correct; but the point still stands that this is highly unusual for Copycat, and lends itself well to several theories of what truly happened.
