The idea is, after Rose met Greg, a secret organization arrives in Beach City after several reports of "strange people" walking around. Strange people they considered "aliens." Rose, Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst are kidnapped and taken to a secret base in the middle of the space, along with Greg, because by the union of both they wanted to test if these "aliens" could have children. This is how Steven is born, although Rose and Greg really loved each other, they were really forced to have a child. Rose disappears and Greg is stored somewhere in the base, far from his son. Steven and the other gems are objects of scientific things and torture, without being allowed to use weapons, change form or merge.Steven knows about his father's existence, and all he wants is to be with him. But those evil scientists don't give him a chance to get close.
The second arc begins when finally, Steven, Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst escape, leaving Greg behind. Steven promises to be strong to return to save his father. Along the way, there are gems like Lapis, Peridot, Jasper etc. However, these are captured just as they did with the Crystal Gems. Time passes, Steven grows and becomes very strong (and other events happen). Then, the third and last arc begins.
Steven and the gems return to take out Greg, taking advantage to try to save the other captured gems. There begins an era of war and blablabla.
