”Hm. I had a family for a bit, some friends, a job. Nothing special. I got a better family now. ‘m gonna say it was different. ‘m not sure how t’ describe it.”
He trailed off into silence, unsure of what to say. Being human was… good. Being a chimera was fine. Thinking of his different lives left a bitter taste in his mouth and filled his head with long gone memories.
“‘m glad for what I got now. That’s th’ most important thing.”
