๑Alright just a heads up, this is gonna be a whole ass rant about Songs Of War๑

I can't be the ONLY one who has a heavy fixation on SoW. Like the animation and voice acting ARE ASTOUNDING. The show was part of my childhood and I loved it. It's a shame that Squared Media(Black Plasma Studios) couldn't work on season 2 & 3, it had good potential. But that's not what I'm going to talk about, I'm talking about the fandom. It's so DEAD, for a show that got millions of views I expect there to be more content about SoW.

I. WAS. WRONG

THERE'S BARELY ANY CONTENT FOR IT AND I AM ABOUT TO EVAPORATE. When I have a fixation, I go to reading FICS about it, specifically a reader insert since that makes it more fun. But when I check there was only ONE (This fandom is so dead it's actually sad)

If I could I would make the fandom revive from the dead, the content posted each year is pretty low for me and usually just a few are public. I'm hoping this can reach other SoW fans who also want the fandom to revive since this is so upsetting Ó⁠╭⁠╮⁠Ò

Little note, I know I am a writer and could easily write for the fandom but the writer block is a HUGE thing for me and my motivation SUCKS. Im also not pleased by my writing than for other content written by other people

Some Songs of War ardoni headcanons!

Sendaris

Sendaris, said by David one of the writers of SoW, tends to live near water. So I like to think that they have webbed hands & feet.

Nestoris

The establishing shot showing all the ardoni clans, Nestoria is shown to have cliffs and I like to think it's also pretty high. So I like to associate them with birds, Eagle spcifically. They have feathers on their head and by their ears. The ones on their ears are normally given by loved ones. And the ones on their head are given by the masters upon being inaugurated into the clan.

Voltaris

I headcanon that the Voltaris are ancestors of some nether species- idk what one I want to make them an ancestors of tho. And that they have goat-like hooved feet since the nether is based on Hell and goats are associated with Saten. It also fits that for a good few 100 years they lived on a mounted.

Kaltaris

I headcanon for Kaltaris that they have better hearing and smell than the other ardoni, and are more attuned with nature than the ardoni already are. They also have claw-like toes to help with traction.

Mendoris

I headcanon that they are ancestors of endermen. They have longer limbs then normal ardoni, and with the way I draw the they have darker skin and lighter hair.

WEEE I REVAMPED MY OLD SONGS OF WAR OC’S OH MY GOD THEY USED TO BE SO TERRIBLE I WROTE THEM SO BAD- they used to be dragons for the simple fact they were the only things I could draw-

I’m going to do them such a service now, I’m gonna bring them up to their potential (plus having to completely rewrite the green guy because he used to be a vent character- which wasn’t anything major, but it made him the most erratic pos that I hate so much- plus I think I accidentally made him homophobic? So yeah, fixing that. *proceeds to make him the gayest man alive*)

Also Jesus fucking Christ I forgot how much I adored Crimson and Amarillo. Amarillo is kinda mid but she looks after the sad lil guy- and omg they are so healthy I love them. *rattles them*

Anyways, going to the rant. I’ve talked about how underrated Songs of War was and wished how it could be popular again. Then I asked myself a question, what would happen to the fandom if it got popular? I’m genuinely afraid toxic people would join and absolutely ruin the fandom as I’ve seen this happen with many other fandoms I love. Examples being Dandy’s World, Welcome Home, Forsaken, Fundamental Paper Education, and Murder Drones

I don’t want the fandom to be known for problematic stuff but i really want it to be popular, I’m basically stuck on what I want for the SoW fandom💔 I AM SICK AND TIRED OF BEING IN FANDOMS THAT ARE HATED FOR NO FREAKING REASON AND CANNOT HAVE ANY FUN

LIKE NO I DO NOT WANT PEOPLE TELLING ME THAT I CANT SHIP BECAUSE IT RUINS THE FANDOM(Looking at u certain Dandy’s World and Forsaken fans)

NO I DO NOT WANT PEOPLE GETTING HARASSED FOR SHARING THEIR OWN OPINIONS AND NOT FEELING SAFE IN THE SOW FANDOM

NO I DO NOT WANT THOSE WEIRD PEOPLE THAT SHIP CHILD X ADULT/ INCEST/ OTHER PROBLEMATIC SHIPS
