there was little left to discover if you asked cassian. at least, as far as land and planets were concerned. but as he crouched next to neteyam, breathing mask filling his lungs with oxygen, he did feel like an explorer. pandora was unlike any planet or civilization he'd come across.

"i'd say so," the man said, glancing at the na'vi. so strange to see him in his natural element, cassian the alien. "have you been here before?" he was banking on no, judging by the look of awe on neteyam's features. @neteyamor

should it not be an honor to have jakesuli and his family stay with their clan? under normal circumstances, maybe. the great power of eywa had been exemplified with the omaticaya clan. now, ronal wondered why the great mother has turned her back on them. why bless her children only to damn them? it left an ill taste in the na'vi's mouth as she gathered her baskets and sacks so she might harvest the plants for her medicine.

"you. boy," she barked, pointed to neteyam. "how is your skill now, working underwater? i want you to harvest with me." not that ronal doubted her daughter's skill. she just wanted to see if the sully children were worth the trouble. @neteyamor gets a starter from ronal!

the back of her hand slapped against her grandson's chest. if mo'at allowed herself to dwell on her deepest fears, she had been worried that her daughter would not produce offspring. but seeing young and healthy na'vi, running through their new home, it made mo'at's heart fill with pride.

"pay attention," she snapped. there was no heat to her words. instead, a secret smile curled at her lips. "the sooner you complete your exercises, the sooner your may play with your brother." a knowing glint flicked in her hues. "now, repeat the incantation." @neteyamor gets a starter from mo'at!

“Is that an oasis over there? Or a mirage?”

head snapped up too quickly. the world swam as cassian leaned heavily against neteyam. he lost track of how long they'd been walking, ship crashing in the middle of the desert.

already the spy's lips were parched, throat dry. cassian scanned the horizon, looking for the oasis. "oasis, i hope," he cracked out before pushing off the na'vi and picking up the pace. "i could use a drink." or several. @neteyamor

“These are not the Droids you’re looking for.“

lips pressed into a thin line. he noted the subtle hand movement. if rumors were to be believed, it was a sign or tell the jedi used. as far as cassian was concerned, they all died. murdered by lord vader.

"i think they are," cassian shot back. "that one has the insignia i'm looking for." a trio of stars and a disguised sign of the rebellion. "we can do this the easy or hard way. i would like my droids back."

“No, I don’t think he likes you at all.“

the creature had retractable teeth! cassian had never seen anything like it. the banshee, neteyam had called it. the spy enjoyed flying as much as the next person but... flying a winged creature was not in the deck for cassian. shame.

"well, can you tell him i backed off and to stop trying to bite my head?"

“I seem to have found it.”

he followed out of curiosity more so than necessity. cassian found relief in his neck when he looked down at the strange alien; neteyam. slender, blue digits fumbled into the soft foliage, dampened with moisture. it had been many cycles since the planet had seen this much rainfall.

"what exactly are you looking for? and how is it going to help us?" booted foot pressed against a rock, hips hinging forward. cassian rested his arms across his knees as he observed the hasty movements. @neteyamor
