“Do you think this is how explores felt as they discovered new lands?”
there was little left to discover if you asked cassian. at least, as far as land and planets were concerned. but as he crouched next to neteyam, breathing mask filling his lungs with oxygen, he did feel like an explorer. pandora was unlike any planet or civilization he'd come across.
"i'd say so," the man said, glancing at the na'vi. so strange to see him in his natural element, cassian the alien. "have you been here before?" he was banking on no, judging by the look of awe on neteyam's features. @neteyamor
“Is that an oasis over there? Or a mirage?”
head snapped up too quickly. the world swam as cassian leaned heavily against neteyam. he lost track of how long they'd been walking, ship crashing in the middle of the desert.
already the spy's lips were parched, throat dry. cassian scanned the horizon, looking for the oasis. "oasis, i hope," he cracked out before pushing off the na'vi and picking up the pace. "i could use a drink." or several. @neteyamor
“These are not the Droids you’re looking for.“
lips pressed into a thin line. he noted the subtle hand movement. if rumors were to be believed, it was a sign or tell the jedi used. as far as cassian was concerned, they all died. murdered by lord vader.
"i think they are," cassian shot back. "that one has the insignia i'm looking for." a trio of stars and a disguised sign of the rebellion. "we can do this the easy or hard way. i would like my droids back."
“No, I don’t think he likes you at all.“
the creature had retractable teeth! cassian had never seen anything like it. the banshee, neteyam had called it. the spy enjoyed flying as much as the next person but... flying a winged creature was not in the deck for cassian. shame.
"well, can you tell him i backed off and to stop trying to bite my head?"
“You must do what you feel is right, of course.“ (from Hera)
there was a stark contrast between what felt right and what duty asked him to do. and while cassian had always followed the lead of duty, ever since he crossed paths with jyn erso, the spy began to question his motives in this rebellion.
"but what do you do when rightness conflicts with duty?" he knew the answer would not be a simple nor an easy one.
@rebe1srevenge asked : weather forecast for tonight : dark. ask memes ;; sass edition // accepting
❛ you're observant, aren't you ? ❜
lips curled into a slight grin. "stating the obvious." cassian agreed. "means we can move under the cover of darkness."

“I’m sweating in places I didn’t know you could sweat.”
“Give me your shirt. I want to wipe off my sweat.”
“Do you think I’ll tan?”
“Wish we were at the beach right now.”
“I could use a glass of beer right about now.”
“Hey! Share some of that. I’m parched.”

The Great Comet of 1997 was one of the brightest comets to streak our skies, and was visible to the naked eye for a record 569 days, over 18 months. A spectacular sight, it was visible at its peak well before nightfall. In March, a solar eclipse that spanned China, Mongolia and eastern Siberia allowed observers there to see the comet in the daytime.
To this day, the comet is still being tracked by astronomers, and is predicted to stay observable until 2020, at which point it will become very difficult to distinguish from the large numbers of distant galaxies of similar brightness.
