Watch the Espn 30 for 30 series. It’s up on Netflix. A ton of documentaries covering everything from rivalries, conferences, cultural impacts. Ones i recommend are
Requiem for the Big East (tells the story of the formation and downfall of the Big East) The U pt 1 and 2 (covers The U. Nuff said) Ghosts of Ole Miss (integration and football in 1962 Mississippi) Pony Excess (Glory days and fall of Southern Methodist University) Broke (how many athletes go bankrupt after retiring)
Even you aren’t into sports these docs are really good
