Lucifer Season 5 Review
Lucifer Season 5 Review
Storyline: 9/10, I think this season had one of my favourite storylines. I liked that there was only 8 episodes in this season, short and sweet. As the season progressed things got more interesting. I loved how all the sub-plots this season fitted in seamlessly with the main plots and it was honestly great to watch.
Protagonist: 8/10, Since season 1 Lucifer has had a great amount of character development. As he is the devil the first instinct it to believe that he is a bad person, but in theory all he does is punish bad people. Lucifer has always been protective of the detective and many of his friends around him, but this season we see him become more vulnerable around the detective causing him lose and regain his “mojo” - his ability to make people confess their desires. Some of his old habits however do remain but it is evident that he is trying to make a positive change.
Antagonist: 9/10, Michael is just infuriating. It’s evident that he has spent most of his time in Lucifer’s shadow even when he was banished to hell and as a result has made him really bitter towards Lucifer. He sees himself as the “good” and perfect twin yet is always creating chaos in Lucifer’s life. What drives Michael is purely jealousy. With the twins there is lots of symbolism of good and bad, especially with the way they walk, their mannerism and even their powers. Michael has the ability to draw out people’s fear and Lucifer does the same but with desire. You could argue that both are as bad as each other but it is how they use it that matters.
Shoutout to Pete though, he had me in the first half, but I caught on ;)
Would I watch it again?: 100% great season!
Overall: 8.5/10, This season of Lucifer was amazing I absolutely loved it. If you haven’t seen the new season or any of the seasons, I highly recommend that you do and you won’t regret it.
