Had a dream that we got a trailer for the next season of Spy x Family, and the only thing I can remember from it is a scene where Loid is on his knees, punching the ground until his fists bled.

Like it's one thing for my brain to get me excited for a season that's still over a year away, now it had to add some angst and whump combo that we're not gonna get for YEARS if we ever get it 😭

there will be lots of packing and lots of moving in the next few weeks, but yay I got a permanent hire! Meaning I can keep the same stable job and it looks like it'll be a great place to work at! One last time doing the same old bureaucratic shit and then I can keep working there without doing all that shit and all that waiting again!

Ok so my politics are pretty much of a mess because I haven't done any research deep enough to find which ideology I lean towards the most so even at my age I'm still winging it with my main stance being that "humans are naturally predisposed to care for and want to help each other and capitalism and imperialism have spent centuries if not millennia trying to corrupt that out of us and it says a LOT that they have to keep trying with each generation because if left to our own devices we would actually be kind to each other".

So you know, it kind of surprises me when I see self-described leftists deny the idea that humans are naturally created to be kind to each other, because the opposite is Christian propaganda. Like, the idea that you need a book and a god and a priest to tell you to be a good person is downright a Christian talking point that also derives from racism - you know, with how European Christians invaded other countries and claimed they "saved them with Christianity" because apparently the entire fucking world before they arrived was a bunch of savages who only knew violence and murder? And could only become civilized if a different religion than the ones they already had was forced onto them?

Like idk it kind of baffles me. I know it can take a lot of work to deprogram yourself from propaganda - I myself try to check myself as often as I can - but it kind of seems like the first step towards leaning left would be to start questioning the ideas of egocentrism and supremacy that have been passed down to you. Otherwise what's even the point of criticizing powerful people???

No but you know it's actually a little sad. Spy x Family is at its core anti-war and pro-community without being idealistic about it, and people who genuinely love it and get those themes then turn and go like "Let's use it to unknowingly spread red scare propaganda!" like idk man it's sad.

You know, I'm not a fan of Yuri Briar. He can be very funny and his character is great commentary by itself, so overall I do like him for the most part, but it's not that I miss him from the screen when he's not there, you know?

That said, I've written plenty of meta where I explicitly call him an extremist, or jealous, or immature, or even controlling... and yet, I've never once had someone defend him to me. The only thing close to that was an anonymous message which wasn't even defensive and only inspired me for more analysis (something which I'm always grateful for).

So, yeah. His fans seem to be pretty chill with other people's opinions on him, and while I'm quite vocal about how I see him, I've never had anyone negate my feelings, present false information to me, try to make me look like the bad guy, spoil me for future developments, let alone outright bully me...

I'm just saying that fans of a certain other character can learn from that example. There's a reason I don't hesitate tagging my meta about Yuri with his name while I tremble at the idea of tagging posts about that certain character with his name.

You know, when scam comments like this get posted on big fics you can kinda understand why people would fall for it. But it's on a drabble collection. Drabble is literally on the title. Every chapter is a single drabble of exactly 100 words. Would be a feat to actually NOT keep it consistent within this small limit 😂 but also, what were they going for? The bot is like "ooohhh I have this idea you might like it" and then it just keysmashes. Even if I didn't know well enough to fall for it, what would I have done to fall for their scam? It's just a random keysmash. Should I try replying just to waste its time?

I WAS SNOOZING MY ALARM THIS MORNING. BIG MISTAKE.

Because in one of the times between alarms I actually fell asleep and had what basically was a NIGHTMARE

Because I saw I opened tumblr and came back to over a HUNDRED messages because apparently a new and detailed SxF trailer had come out

And they had changed the art style of the animation and it looked like fucking Family Guy

I cannot begin to tell you how terrifying that was. I was like "They ruined it, I cannot watch it like this" and then I was sitting in front of my computer, tumblr open, thinking if I should make a post about it like "Is this what will finally break me and make me read the manga?"

Anyway, now I just find it funny lmao. Instead I opened tumblr to a normal amount of messages because the new season visual is out! (And thankfully in the same art style 😅)
