Thinking about how much young Qifrey must have waited for the day he'd get to go to the Tower of Tomes. He was too anxious to fully give in to the joys of life until he knew what had happened to him, so the chance to find out must have been his most anticipated moment.
So for that day to come and to practically be one of the worst days of his life, and the turning point of his relationship with Olruggio and with his own life... Like damn.
You know what? I'm actually gonna be more open about this.
People writing fanfics where Killian Jones has both hands (at least in those he's older than his Lieutenant era or the equivalent for AUs) for the entirety of the story was and still is ableist. I do not give a single fuck about how "it wouldn't make sense!!" You're erasing a character's disability purely because it doesn't fit your aesthetic. Sometimes even the "he has both but one is less functional" felt like a cop-out (maybe for some it was cathartic because it mirrors their own disability, but I doubt that's the majority of the writers of those fics).
My newest blorbo also has a disability. The only - and I mean the only - cases where I've seen fanworks that don't depict it is by fans who haven't reached the part in the story where the disability is revealed, so they genuinely don't know about it (it's actually easy to guess, but I can understand people who don't guess it. Now, to wilfully ignore the fact that Killian lost his hand in his premiere episode... well.). And around the same part there's an indication that his disability may get way more impactful in the future, and guess what. A grand majority of the fans actually want that to happen. Not in a vindictive manner, but because we want more disability representation.
Y'all had no fucking excuse. You could have done better. And I hope you do in the future.
I like finding out what people my age and older had as their first cell phone. Anybody younger and their answer is a generic Android or iPhone. Phones from the 2000s were some wacky device like the sidekick or samsung x83 or lg env2
I don't know what scenario from which this image would result (maybe they each damaged the spells on one of their shoes) or if this would even work (probably not), but I imagine it would go something like this:
Q: It's working!
O: Barely!!
couldn't really get it to a place where i was happy with but i did decide to go through with finishing it. thank you to my friends for their concrit getting it to an acceptable state.
