Do you know if we have to have obtained every pokemon to complete the national dex, or only seen them all?
You must obtain every pokemon in the national dex with the exception of event pokemon. Seeing them might help you get them in the GTS, but you actually need to own every pokemon at some point to get the shiny charm.

Lol "Mrs. Heat". Male, level 58 Conkeldurr for 4, 4 Lairon? Thanks again. Also, I was wondering - for some of these that evolve when traded, do you have the item that would cause them to evolve? I still need ones like Scizor, so if I deposited for Scyther, would it be possible for you to trade it with a Metal Coat?
Actually last time I had Dex Helper, I did have a Scizor. I’m not sure if I traded it out or not though. As far as evolutionary Items are concerned I’m trading out from my Flarepix game, so I don’t have a stock of the items there, and I don’t use powersave to get them either.
I did get traded a kings rock that came with a Makuhita last wtw, so if I get an item like that, I might put it on one of the pokemon I’m trading out, but generally speaking, I would probably sooner just trade out the evolved pokemon and the unevolved form desperately before I’d go through the work of trading them out with their Items. Same goes for pokemon that you don’t want to evolve when trading. If somehow it magically came with an everstone, I will probably just leave it on. If I bred it myself, it will probably evolve once traded.
However, for our regular shiny giveaways over at tcgiveaways I love doing Item evolution for giveaways. I have another one planned soon so keep your eyes out for it.
