WLAN Kamera, Vorzüge gegenüber Funkmodellen

Für die drahtlose Überwachung stehen nicht nur WLAN Kameras zur Verfügung, sondern auch normale Funkkameras. Diese zwei Möglichkeiten unterscheiden sich vor allem dadurch das WLAN Kameras ans Netzwerk angeschlossen werden und Funkkameras nicht. Funkkameras werden montiert und sind direkt per Funk erreichbar. Welche Technik sollte man nun nehmen? Die meisten Funkkameras haben einen entscheidenden Sicherheitsnachteil, weswegen die WLAN Kamera die besser Wahl ist. Der Sicherheitsnachteil wird im Folgenden erläutert.

Funkkamera und die Sicherheit (unverschlüsselt)

Jetzt kommt die eigentliche Überraschung. In der Regel haben Funkkameras keine Verschlüsselung bzw. das Signal wird unverschlüsselt übertragen. Dadurch ist es ein Kinderspiel dieses Signal zu empfangen und das Video anzusehen. Ich bevorzuge WLAN Kameras über Funkkameras. Thema Sicherheit.

Aufgrund der mangelnden Sicherheit bei Funkkameras empfehle ich deswegen den Einsatz von WLAN Kameras. WLAN ist verschlüsselt bzw. sollte es sein, wenn nicht dann sofort nachholen und am besten WPA2 wählen. Die Kamera wird ans WLAN oder per Kabel an den Router angeschlossen. Durch die Verschlüsselung des Signals kann nun niemand einfach mehr das Signal/Video mit z.B. einem Babyphone abfangen.

Fazit, WLAN Kamera ist die bessere Wahl.
