holy shit that post about today is intense and scary, what are you gonna do about scary neuropain? and whats it like exactly? I'm 22 and MSing hard and I'm right on your heels and I don't know what to expect pants are being shitten over here
Honestly, right now. Try and ignore it. I'm focusing on anything else. I have a document open so am trying to write.
The problem with neuropain is that, in my experience, nothing really alleviates it. Painkillers take the edge off, make it manageable, but it's still there, just under the surface.
Neuropain, for me, is like "real" pain (that's not the right name for it, but I can't think of another term.). The only difference is that with "real" pain, you can generally track back what caused it. Like my shoulderpain is because I spent most of the week hunched over a laptop. Neuropain is pain without cause. >>here<< is the wikipedia article on Neuropathic pain. Central neuropathic pain is the type you get with MS.
With it being a Saturday there isn't much else I can do when I know what it is. If it's still bad on Monday I will probably call my MS nurse and speak to her, but hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow and it'll be gone or faded back into the background.
