(Not Fic) stolen necklace

Loosely inspired by this post (specifically line 2):

Furina, a Fontainian socialite and actress, is invited to a private tour of a museum after her film that features archaeological adventures was just released in theatres. Monsieur NPC shows off the jewels section of the museum but the centerpiece is missing. The Monsieur explains that this precious gem, the Heart of an Oceanid, was stolen from them years ago. 

The actress grows curious on what this precious gem could look like and can’t get her mind off of it. After the tour, she is picked up by Clorinde to go to an event. At this event, she bumps into the elusive Neuvillette, who was made aware that Furina would be attending and hands her a bouquet of flowers and invites her out for a dinner. 

Neuvillette is a widely known immortal who’s been in Furina’s radar and who she’s become smitten by as time passes.

At night, she goes out shopping with Clorinde and Navia. They tease her on her upcoming date and helps her pick out the best outfits. Furina then mentions the precious gem and they tell her that theyve heard of the legend from their boyfriend Wriothesley, who’s a history enthusiast. They also mention that if there’s anyone who would know about old relics, it’d be Neuvillette. 

Furina waits by her door for Neuvillette to pick her up but he’s late and it looks like it's about to rain. She feels a drop and rushes to go back inside to preserve her pretty outfit but Neuvillette appears behind her with an umbrella and a small plea to come with him. 

Their date goes well but Furina gets bogged down by reporters and fans, eager to see her on a date. Neuvillete already hatched an escape plan with a chauffeur waiting for them round the corner. 

They continue to court and eventually on one night, she spends the night at his place. While laying on his chest, she can’t sleep and sneaks into his study to look at his books. Neuvi wakes up and end up talking about his immortality. Then takes the chance to gift her a very special necklace to show how serious he is on courting her which she gladly accepts and starts to wear around. 

The museum director spits out his coffee when he sees the new tabloid articles of Furina wearing a new necklace. To everyone else, it's another gorgeous necklace made by an unknown artisan, but to him, he knows that he’s looking right at the Heart of an Oceanid.

Him and the museum people hatch an entire plot to steal the necklace from her. They pretend that the fair Furina had donated it to them and would use her own curiosity of the heart of the oceanid against her (Oh but you were so curious about it before! now we can share with the world, you wouldnt take that opportunity away for likeminded people like yourself right?)

Furina is hesitant and relents because of her own reputation. But how the hell is she going to explain this all to Neuvillette, who had trusted her with a prized possession. 

“My love, why is my necklace in this display case?”

Furina tearfully reveals what had happened which Neuvillette does not blame her on, in fact tells her that he figured out what happened the minute the museum announced that a special gem has been added to their collection.

Neuvillette explains that this heart of an oceanid gem is special as it was gifted to him by an archon of old times. A legendary myth in today’s era. It is a heart at it’s purest which is why many try to steal it from him. Despite him offering many of his own relics in this museum as consolidation, just so he can keep this one piece (the heart) with him. 

This heart symbolises his undying love. She gets embarrassed and unsure why he likes her so much but Neuvi just tells her thats just how he feels and does not want to obligate furina to feel the same. Urges her to take her time. 

The reason the heart is so special is because was gifted to Neuvillette by his original Furina (he has lived countless lives, loving every incarnation of Furina), and given that it's preserved by the hydro dragon himself, it's much more pure and delicate than all other heart of  oceanids out there
