Max Sand is a young cowboy haunted by the death of his parents. Along the road to revenge he runs into a number of virtuous characters who try to persuade him to change his mind, to become a man free of resentment. It makes good use of a moral paradigm, with the blind solipsism of the brute on one hand and the gentler dimension of Indian and Christian spirituality on the other.

First of all, I love movie posters, especially old ones, since nowadays there seem to be just half a dozen principal designs copied by everyone to death. So I’ve come across one “Nevada Smith” poster on Pinterest that I hadn’t seen before and decided to Google a little - and boy, did I walk into a treasure cave. 

This one is basic American, that seems to be best-known:

Then things get a bit more colorful. These two are German:

The French one, using the same reference photo, I think, but more laconic in style: 

Another one with the same reference, this time it’s Italian:

But Italians can actually do better:

The Spanish one is totally different, which is refreshing:
