All of these are the same oc, some have feature characters but all of these are my very first OC Blaire. I don’t know exact dates but the first picture was made in 2010 and the last one was just now, in 2015. Obviously, a lot has been going on throughout this!
I love doing redraws and stuff like that because it gives me a chance to look back on what I thought was the best of my ability as an artist at the time and compare it to how I draw now. It’s an absolutely thrilling experience to wonder what my art will look like in the next 5 years.
When you think you’re art can go no further in terms of improvement, just look back and remember that you probably thought the exact same things however long ago it was. I now regularly look back on the sketchbooks I still have with me to keep me motivated to become a better version of myself. Looking back on old art doesn’t have to be a cringe worthy experience but more of a push up the path to keep pushing yourself to go further.
