“Do you ever miss space?” Prince’s voice, deadpan as ever, broke the comfortable silence. Hie brushed hir fingertips through Diivah’s hair. The taller gold didn’t open his eyes, finding Prince’s chest to be too good of a pillow. He could listen to hir heartbeat for hours and never get tired of it.
“Mmh?” Despite pris comfort, pris quadrant’s voice had stirred pris awake.
“Space, Dii. Do you ever miss it?” She asked again, giving pris hair a gentle tug.
Diivah finally turned his head, resting his chin on Prince’s chest. His lidded eyes blinked slowly as her words processed, “....no? Why the fuck-?”
“I miss space.” Prince interrupted hir sleepy quadrant. Hie had almost drifted off as well, quite comfortable on hir back with Diivah as a blanket, but found hirself yearning for something hie could never return to. Hie looked down at Diivah with somber eyes. He sighed, expression going soft. Diivah knew his quadrant well, hie wasn’t an emotional goldblood by any means. The Fleet was cruel and uncaring, had left them both scarred and forever wounded. And while Diivah had no qualms turning over a new stone and being rid of that past, Prince just…couldn’t. Hie held onto one small thing…how much hie missed space.
Diivah lifted himself up and rolled off Prince, pulling her on top of him now. For a couple of warmbloods they sure did cuddle a lot. Sharing heat like their lives depended on it. Prince relaxed into the other’s hold, hiding her face in his neck.
“We’ll go back one day.” The lie was soft, but Dii spoke with confidence. Prince knew it to be a lie.
“Do you mean it, Dii?” Her voice was almost too small to be heard.
“Promise.” His voice was just as small. The gold turned his face to press a soft butterfly kiss to his quadrant’s head, “I ain’t broke a promise yet, baby.”
Started this forever ago, too tired to finish it or care about the backgrounds, bUT: have some fancy criminal ancestors.

Who’s the first to wake up in the morning: Himmel! Always gotta get up extra earlly to get ready for his job as a MODEL, that shit really do take hours.
Who’s the one to make breakfast: Also Himmel! He likes to leave Higgins a good meal before he has to leave.
Who’s the one to serve the other breakfast in bed: Of course ALSO HIMMEL, he’s a huge sap that loves to spoil Higgins even though the little bastard doesn’t deserve it LMAO
Who would suggest a quickie in the morning before work: Higgins is nasty as fuck but like, Mel is just as bad cos he’s more than happy to oblige
Who suggests they both ditch work to lay around all day: Higgins, definitely Higgins. We all know he wants more attention at all times forever but especially from his giant moirail.
Who chooses the movies: Melly! Or maybe they take turns, if Mel likes what kinda movie Higgins is suggesting. Odds are that they just binge Naruto together tbh
Who initiates kissing during the moving, thus distracting the other from the movie all together: YOU CANT FUCKEN KISS THAT MOUF. Himmel though, ut instead of kissing he just initiates lots of cuddles.
Who orders lunch:
Who steals food from the other’s plate without asking: You can’t tell me that Higgins doesn’t snatch one of Mel’s sweets from his plate. But hey that’s aight cos Mel does the same shit right back LMAO
Who curls up next to the other and falls asleep due to a full tummy: Higgins, less cos of the full tummy and more so Higgins just wants to lay on him and get all the attention. He absolutely makes up excuses/reasons for it to make it seem like he TOTALLY isn’t just doing it for cuddles tho.
Who distracts the other from trying to work at home: HIGGINS AGAIN, THE LIL ATTENTION WHORE. But that’s a good thing though, he can get Mel to take time to himself and not stress so much about having to juggle two whole jobs.
Who asks to go get ice cream like a five year old: Mel....
Who takes pictures of their partner eating ice cream: Higgins, to use as blackmail LMAO
Who makes a sexual joke about the dripping ice cream on their partner’s face: HIMMEL
Who cooks dinner: Melly again! He likes to bake and cook and loves to spoil the people he loves with a FUCK TON OF FOOD at almost all times tbh
Who cleans up the kitchen afterwards: he can and will make Higgins clean up
Who stays up until 2 reading: Higgins just gets so damn absorbed in his books, Mell’s gotta carry him off to bed regularly.
Who stares at their partner while their sleeping: They both do this to each other I just know it
Who kisses their partner while they sleep: MEL!! LOVES!! TO GIVE SMOOCHES !!! To make up for the fact that Higgins literally Cannot
