absolutely THRILLING development.
while my (east asian) family was away on a trip our (white) neighbours wrote to the fucking government complaining about the exhaust (? word choice?) from our range hood smelling bad (did i mention we were on a trip) (also we moved the pipes FROM our range hood into our own backyard upon request of those same neighbours) (local white people manage to display blatant disgust for asian food without encountering aforementioned asian food). obviously the government worker didn’t find any smell but they did end up charging us because of some bullshit permit thing.
so long story short this microaggression is going to cost my family almost a thousand dollars CAD.
