Aside from Sirica and Galo (who i'll also talk about in this post because i realized i only said like. one thing about them and then completely forgot to share more...jeepers.) I have two other ocs that exist in my main au!

I'll start with Mimi! (or, ahem, Miriam "Mimi" Ribos. I really like giving them full names. so silly!!!). She is an ushi-oni (spider-cow demon). In the main au she's disguise as a human, but if we're to make it closer to the games she would be a snooty cow villager (there are only two snooty cow villagers!! if we don't count Petunia...who never made it out of the original animal crossing game...rip diva.)
I think i talk about it briefly. But before arriving to the island, Sirica lived in a mountain and was a shepherd. After they runaway, the animals were left to their own. That's when Mimi steps in.
She found the barn almost intact. Someone was here before her, not long ago. There was food and a cozy bed, enough to convince her to hide in there for the time being. Mimi didn't wanted to admit it, but the animals there were nice company...and she kinda ended up staying for them.
Nowadays, Mimi fulfills the shepherd role Sirica left behind. There is a small village at the foot of the mountain, so you may find her there, selling or buying stuff (mostly alcohol. Ushi onis have a liking for it). Maybe even participating in whatever event they have going that season.

Next up is a curious one. Her name is Thessie! And from the picture you may be able to tell who she is related to...
Thessie is Dr. Shrunks' kid, the comedian axolotl from city folk! Unlike her father, she leans more into the dramatics of the theater instead of stand up.
Thessie has a. huh. relationship with Sirica. I mentioned this before, but i imagine Sirica growing up and moving to the city as Label's apprentice. There, they meet Thessie, who is beginning her career as an actor. They immediately click and become friends. As their relationship develops, Thessie inspires Sirica to become an actress, and they end up in the stage together!!
(Since in new horizons you learn emotions/reactions through villagers, I like to imagine Sirica is actually mimicking them and from there they realize they like this whole "acting" stuff. Of course, it is not until meeting Thessie that they actually begin taking it seriously. And maybe also find out they're a great singer!)
(This is Sirica's new future design. I wanted to keep the Wilbur influence by hiding their eyes, since i kinda got rid of the haircut).
I like to think of their relationship as that of Flick and Cj: they're "partners." Who live together. And go on dates.
Also...Dr. Shrunks mentions having a son in city folk, but later, I found out he also mentions a daughter in new leaf! To this day, I don't know if this son and daughter are like. different people. Soooo, Thessie is transfem. She and Sirica are t4t. (i think I have alluded to Sirica being transfem, but I have never outright said it? huh. well, here it is. Sirica is a they/them transfem. its just that they're still figuring it out at the point of the timeline I normally draw them).

Now, for last, Galo.
Unfortunately I'm still working on a redesign for him because. I don't like their hair...so no drawing of them.
I said Galo is an old friend of Wilbur, but I think there is more to it: they probably meet in the army. It was a dark time for Galo, they retired before Wilbur after a fatal injure.
After recovery, Galo began traveling the world, looking for a purpose. In the point of the timeline in which the au normally takes place, she's trying to enter the world of sports. When she finally meets Wilbur again, they're taking a nice vacation as a recommendation from their manager.
Despite the years, they're as upbeat as always. Maybe a little too much (especially for Wilbur in his sweet, sweet 39 years of age). They like the island. Is refreshing to be in a place so...peaceful, and fun! The people here are mostly weirdos!! Cool!!!
Galo's relationship with other characters varies: They respect Nook and Isabelle; Is interested in Orville; Kinda has a rivalry with Goose and Canberra; Likes Brewster, but prefers tea over coffee; And thought Sirica was Wilbur's bastard child but now finds them cute.

Those are kinda all the ocs I have...expect. I didn't mention TWO!!!
One of them is. still a concept. A mermaid. Because i like mermaids and new horizons' island setting.
And the other...is Sirica's mom.
But they're a bit complicated because. uh. They're like.
The moon.

Like Hoyoverse games, I think the twst team makes it kinda obvious when they ship queer characters without saying they're queer...
just a thought.
