A Bad Feeling
Continued from [x] with @neverkncw
It was a rarity within itself to be in control, Alastor was more often than not stronger then Joseph. There were days that he was convinced that he never so much won control, but instead it was just Alastor just letting him have his way. The comment had slipped out, unable to fully stop it since he was on edge. He didn’t know if it was his own intuition or Alastor’s but something felt off. He kept waiting for the demon to try and reclaim control, or even invade his thoughts.. and yet it was unsettlingly quiet.
However Joseph had long since learned that just because the demon was silent, he was by no means gone. He would never escape the hold that the demon had on him, it had been years since he had any hope. Such a notion was lost when it became clear that no one could seem to tell the difference between him and Alastor. All of them just seemed to assume that he had just turned into some horrid person and treated him accordingly.. even the people closest to him seemed to be clueless.
He snapped himself out of his thoughts, as he glanced at Robert. The other rarity, the other so rarely came anywhere near him these days. Though that wasn’t a surprise considering the things Alastor had done. There had been times he had so desperately tried to tell Robert what was wrong, but any time he dared to try and utter the words, Alastor yanked him back.
“You have a place in mind?” he asked curiously, his gaze watching the other carefully, taking him in. There was such a strong urge to reach out and touch Robert, to feel the other’s warm skin.. but he held himself back. He was painfully aware of how unwelcome the touch would be, and he was far too desperate for Robert’s attention to risk scaring the other off. Alastor had taken Robert and Mary from him.. but at least he could take a small amount of comfort in the fact that they still had one another.
