he has his tongue pressed against the back of his teeth and a determined expression plastered to his face. there is no time to put the equipment down. they need it in a working order and he swears he's so close to getting the cables wired correctly. turning over towards the machine to test the power, a spark ignites after a second or two and he flips the switch once more to turn it off. a little bit of a frustrated noise passes through his lips as he grabs for the pliers again, barely noticing the other finally return from wherever she had been. he vaguely remembers her leaving, though couldn't remember what for.
